Do you have an absolute right to refuse medical treatment? Well, if you recognize the immutable authority of natural rights, you must defend the birthright of individuals to reject the quackery of government-imposed medicine. Common law clearly discerns that there are limits on the power of governments to force human beings into becoming pinned up sheep, against their will. Already far too many cowardly citizens are eager to comply with the next dictate of a tyrannical regime. Subsequently, when the death panels summon you into their diagnostic pool of drugs, why would you want to accept the pharmaceutical prescription for a controlled and managed demise?
CIA photos of black sites, naked prisoners during transfer could complicate Guantanamo 'trials'
    Posted: 27 Jun 2015 09:00 PM PDT
Military prosecutors this year learned about a massive cache of CIA photographs of its former overseas “black sites” while reviewing material collected for the Senate investigation of the agency’s interrogation program, U.S. officials said. The existence of the approximately 14,000 photographs will probably cause yet another delay in the military commissions at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, as attorneys for the defendants demand that all the images be turned over and the government wades through the material to decide what it thinks is relevant to the proceedings.
DARPA: We Are Engineering the Organisms That Will Terraform Mars

It’s no secret that the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is investing heavily in genetic engineering and synthetic biology. Whether that excites or terrifies you depends on how you feel about the military engineering totally new life forms. If you’re in the excitement camp, however, here’s a nugget for you: DARPA believes that it's on the way to creating organisms capable of terraforming Mars into a planet that looks more like Earth.
The General Dynamics, Saudi Arabia contract and Canada’s moral regress
    Posted: 27 Jun 2015 09:00 PM PDT
With the case of the Canadian-brokered General Dynamics light armored vehicle sale to the Saudi Arabian government, Canada’s manufacturing sector has become complicit in human rights abuses abroad. The question of benefit could be framed like this: is General Dynamics employing more people than its equipment is killing?
IRS Awarded Contracts to 17 Corporations that Owed Back Taxes (Including One with a Felony Conviction)
    Posted: 27 Jun 2015 09:00 PM PDT
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is legally prohibited from doing business with companies that owe a significant amount of back taxes or a felony conviction, but an audit found the agency paid $18.8 million to such companies over a two-year period. The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) found that the IRS entered into 57 contracts with companies that owe back taxes during the 2012 and 2013 fiscal years. The bulk of such contracts, $18 million, were modifications to contracts that were let before the rule went into effect.

Ignoring Tsipras Plea For Calm, Greeks Storm ATMs, Stores, Gas Stations
    Posted: 27 Jun 2015 09:00 PM PDT
Just a few hours ago Greek PM Tsipras addressed his nation imploring then to "remain calm" and reassuring them that their "deposits were safe." It appears the Greeks did not believe him. Many were wondering where the Greek bank lines were for the past several months. Turns out the local depositors were merely waiting until just after the last minute to withdraw their funds... horde gas... and stack food. Greece, it appears is Venezuela - the new socialist paradise.
Goldman Explains Who Gets Stuck With The Bill When Greece Leaves The Party
    Posted: 27 Jun 2015 09:00 PM PDT
The likely imposition of controls and other exceptional measures comes with substantial risks, which may threaten Greece's membership of the Euro area (and EU) over the longer term. On entering such unchartered territory, uncertainty rises. The reaction of the Greek population and Greek politicians to the introduction of such controls is difficult to predict. If substantial economic and political dislocation were to follow, the anyway weak institutional basis of the Greek economy may collapse, rendering the momentum towards 'Grexit' inevitable. The pace at which such risks can materialise is uncertain, but could be rapid.

Top German Politician Blasts Nuland & Carter: "F##k US Imperialism"
    Posted: 27 Jun 2015 09:00 PM PDT
With intra-Europe relations hitting a new all-time low; and, having already been busted spying on Merkel, Obama got caught with his hand in Hollande's cookie jar this week, the following exultation from one of Germany's top politicians will hardly help Washington-Brussells relations. As Russia Insider notes, Oskar Lafontaine is a major force in German politics so it caught people’s attention when he excoriated Ash Carter and Victoria Nuland on his Facebook page yesterday... "Nuland says 'F*ck the EU'. We need need an EU foreign policy that stops warmongering US imperialism... F*ck US imperialism!"

The whole world piled into what had been the hottest stock market in the universe. Chinese stocks had been endlessly hyped in the US and elsewhere. For the smart money, it was a game of chicken; ride it up and get out just before the crash.

The United States supported the secret supply of weapons to Libyan rebels
    Posted: 27 Jun 2015 09:00 PM PDT
1n a sworn declaration to the District Court of Arizona May 5th 2015, a career CIA officer David Manners said, “It was then, and remains now, my opinion that the United States did participate, directly or indirectly, in the supply of weapons to the Libyan Transitional National Council.” The timing matters because in the Spring of 2011 the Libyan opposition was not formally recognized, and the direct supply of arms was not authorized. At that time, the CIA Director was David Petraeus. Manners testified before a grand jury investigating American defense contractor Marc Turi who faces trial this September on two counts that he allegedly violated the arms control export act by making false statements.

Greece Bank Run Empties Over A Third Of ATMs Of Cash
    Posted: 27 Jun 2015 09:00 PM PDT
More than a third of automated teller machines across Greece ran out of cash on Saturday before they were replenished as Greeks pulled out money on fears their country was set to crash out of the euro, three banking sources said. Anxious Greeks lined up outside ATMs after Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras made a surprise call for a referendum on austerity terms demanded by lenders, throwing talks with lenders in disarray and putting Greece on the verge of a default.
